Known 100% cpu issues with:

  • NOD32
  • Netlimiter on some configurations
  • Ad-Aware 6 Ad Watch

Proceed to next step if current step doesn't solve your problem:

  1. Ensure you uninstall any old versions of Java and install the latest Java JRE.
  2. Perform a fresh install of the latest Azureus release.
Make sure your config files are deleted as well:
    • Windows: C:\documents and settings\username\application data\azureus
    • Mac OS X: username\library\application support\azureus
  3. Install the latest Azureus beta and check the "Enable faulty network selector compatibility mode" option under Tools > Options > Connection.

If the problem persists and you are running the latest Java JRE, then look in the "logs" directory in your azureus config directory and grab any thread_1.log and thread_2.log (or check the "save" directory if you've restarted Azureus) and post them with a bug report.

Note, Java 6 B60 (and earlier) has a known 100% CPU problem with http keep-alive procesing that occurs when driving the linksys WAG354G router under UPnP (and possibly under other circumstances) - Fixed in B65
